About Us

Matt is a husband, a Masters student, a composer, a piano teacher, a believer in Jesus Christ, a film-music nut, a Converse fanatic, a Life is Good fan, a member of the Duluth Curling Club, a church musician, an ex-Starbucks barista, an average Super Smash Bros. Brawl player, an at times avid reader, creator of a Build-a-Bear bunny named Lavender, a Pokemon trainer, a sometimes blogger, a burgeoning cook and proud owner of a black GTS 250 Vespa named Shasta! He lives in Duluth, MN along with his wife, but grew up in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where he was homeschooled. He graduated from Coe College in 2010 and is now pursuing his Masters degree in music at the University of Minnesota Duluth. His father is a Bible software programmer, his mother is a stay-at-home (read: AMAZING!) mom, and his sister is an accomplished musician, studying harp at Oberlin Conservatory in Ohio.

Danielle Wheeler is a Math Teacher at Cloquet High, and was also a graduate of Coe College, with degrees in Math Education and a Music Minor. She has also completed three semesters of piano pedagogy and 2 semesters of organ. Danielle plays many instruments, has served as a church pianist and percussionist and has taught piano lessons for many years.

    I (Matt) am up in Duluth studying for my masters in instrumental conducting. Dani has a job teaching math full time at a local high school.
